What Figure AI does

Figure builds humanoid robots, meaning robots with a human-like body. Its current model is Figure 03. Figure says the robot is a general-purpose platform for both home use and commercial work such as warehouse and logistics tasks, pick-and-place, and sheet metal handling.

In factories, the main named customer is BMW. BMW says Figure 02 worked about 10 months in the body shop at Plant Spartanburg, inserting sheet-metal parts for welding, and supported production of more than 30,000 BMW X3 vehicles during an 11-month deployment.

Figure said on Jun 30, 2026 that Figure 03 was deployed at BMW Plant Spartanburg's Hall 52 for sequencing, which means selecting parts for the assembly line. BMW says Figure 03 picks unsorted components from containers and sorts them into trolleys for transport to assembly stations.

Figure says on Apr 29, 2026 that it had delivered over 350 Figure 03 robots from its BotQ facility and raised output from 1 robot per day to 1 robot per hour. Figure's own site homepage focuses on home use.

Products

Figure 03

Figure's third-generation general-purpose humanoid robot, which Figure says is aimed at both homes and commercial work such as warehouse logistics and manufacturing.

Helix

Figure's AI software for its robots; Figure says Helix 2.5 (announced Sep 17, 2026) performed three tasks across 30 homes it had not seen before.

BotQ

Figure's own robot-manufacturing facility, which Figure says reached a rate of one Figure 03 per hour.
