What Agility Robotics does

Agility Robotics builds Digit, a general-purpose humanoid robot. Agility says Digit is operating in manufacturing, distribution and logistics environments to fill chronic physical labor shortages. The company says it was established in 2015 by Jonathan Hurst, Damion Shelton and Mikhail Jones out of Oregon State University's Dynamic Robotics Laboratory.

In its Sep 15, 2026 release on Digit 5, Agility lists these workflows: depalletizing goods as they arrive, machine tending, kitting and sequencing, quality inspection, and palletizing for shipment. It gives these specs: 129 kg (284 lb), 1.81 m (5 ft 11 in) tall, repeated lifts of up to 22.7 kg (50 lb), and a 90-minute battery with 9-minute charging. Agility says Digit 5 can do more than 20 hours of productive work in a 24-hour day.

Agility names Schaeffler, GXO, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and Mercado Libre as customers, and its homepage also lists Amazon. The Digit 5 release states more than $300 million in multi-year customer orders as of May 2026, and Agility says Digit has more than 65,000 hours of real-world operation.
