What UnitX does
UnitX makes AI visual inspection systems for factories. It says its systems inspect parts inline on the production line to detect and classify defects.
UnitX says its products work together: OptiX captures images, CorteX trains and runs the AI models, and DeteX is a standalone smart camera. It offers AI only, AI plus imaging, or turnkey inspection equipment.
UnitX says it was founded in 2018 by engineers from Stanford, MIT and Google. It says its systems inspect more than $6.1 billion of product a year and that it has served over 190 customers, in industries including automotive, batteries, PCBA, semiconductors and connectors.
Its contact page lists an address in Milpitas, California. UnitX announced a $5 million investment from SE Ventures in September 2023 and a $46 million Series B in November 2024.
